City Photography - using mobile phones.
We spent a few hours exploring the city with our phones, taking photographs. It's amazing what you discover when you're really looking for something to photograph. So many parts of the city that I walk through regularly, I saw in different ways and noticed things I had never noticed before.
I had a few vague ideas before heading out to take my photos. Windows, balconies, people, repeating patterns etc. I ended up mainly focusing on windows and balconies. We were required to take at least 24 photos of which we would choose 12 to edit as the finals. I definitely took at least 24!!
Now I want to go back and take more. I want to focus on 'ugly' things around Adelaide. Things people think of as eye saws but photograph them in a way that they are taken out of context and maybe aren't so typically ugly anymore. If I get time, I will do this. If not, I have enough balcony and window photos that I'm okay with :)
I have decided that I will only edit my photos using apps on my phone - no photoshop! I'd like to take the opportunity to extend the photographing part of phoneography to editing on my phone as well. Then I can say.. I completed a whole assignment on my mobile phone ;)
Below are the apps I have downloaded to try out.
